BANGON CONCEPCION -- a phrase typhoon victims say to each other and to the visitors;  to encourage fellow victims, to give hope, which literally means: "RISE UP CONCEPCION". The phrase is in fact also a popular hash tag #bangonconcepcion in social media websites along with #bangonvisayas

Interesting is that you can see this phrase now painted in the new motorbancas ("pumpboats" in the local dialect) donated by international NGOs (Non-Government Organizations),  philanthropists, and concerned groups to fishermen who lost their motorbancas which is their primary source of living due to Super Typhoon Yolanda.

New Motorbancas for the Fisherfolks

Last Friday, February 14, 2014, a turn-over ceremony was held in Concepcion Fishing Port attended by motorbanca donors, the municipal and provincial officials and the fisher folks.
