BANGON CONCEPCION -- a phrase typhoon victims say to each other and to the visitors; to encourage fellow victims, to give hope, which literally means: "RISE UP CONCEPCION". The phrase is in fact also a popular hash tag #bangonconcepcion in social media websites along with #bangonvisayas.

Interesting is that you can see this phrase now painted in the new motorbancas ("pumpboats" in the local dialect) donated by international NGOs (Non-Government Organizations), philanthropists, and concerned groups to fishermen who lost their motorbancas which is their primary source of living due to Super Typhoon Yolanda.

Last Friday, February 14, 2014, a turn-over ceremony was held in Concepcion Fishing Port attended by motorbanca donors, the municipal and provincial officials and the fisher folks.
